Executive Team

Sean Downs is chief executive officer of Enclarity, Inc., an information management and analytic software company focused on the healthcare market. In 2001, Sean co-founded a non-profit public charity, the Sumba Foundation, dedicated to providing health services and humanitarian aid to the indigenous people of Sumba, Indonesia. He currently serves as president and director for the Sumba Foundation.

 

Before founding Enclarity, Sean was vice president and market unit leader for healthcare and insurance solutions with Fair Isaac Corporation (NYSE: FIC), overseeing the company's medical bill review, insurance analytics, software development, sales and marketing operations. Under his leadership, the division grew to approximately $90 million a year in revenue.

 

Previously, Sean was president, Insurance Solutions of HNC Software Inc., which merged with Fair Isaac in 2002. He played a role in building strategic alliances with organizations such as EDS, Insurance Services Office (ISO) and First Health.

 

Prior to HNC, Sean was a founder and senior vice president of sales and marketing with Risk Data Corporation, which was acquired by HNC Software in 1996. There, he directed product management, sales, marketing, and client services for the company. Before joining Risk Data in 1988, Sean served as president and CEO for Assured Health Care Inc., a chain of primary and specialty care medical treatment facilities. He also served on the board of directors and was an officer of the company. Before holding those titles, Sean was vice president of marketing for Assured Health Care; director of business development for Republic Health Corporation and a consultant for the Small Business Administration.

 

In 2008, Sean was recognized as a winner of the Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award presented by the Orange County Business Journal and Ernst & Young. He was recognized for innovative healthcare industry solutions and his charitable efforts with the Sumba Foundation. The awards recognize the achievements of outstanding Orange County, California business leaders and entrepreneurs.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San Diego State University.
